Loving the Velvet Trend

I always admired my two older sisters growing up from their athletic abilities to their awesome fashion and style. However, one thing I never let go was my older sister of 5 years wearing velvet gowns to SEVERAL homecomings. When time came to attend my high school dances I always wondered in my head ‘WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?! VELVET?!’ But now in 2018 I more than bite my tongue because….velvet is back!

Top Designers: La Femme Fashion, Johnathan Kayne and Jovani took velvet to a new level this year. These looks include simple sleek silhouettes as well as burn out patterns with amazing detail.

Here are our top looks we are crushing over:

Our top look is by La Femme with mermaid style 25174. The strappy back and deep V neckline will have people admiring you from all angles. It does come in 3 colors; however, we recommend fuchsia to kick this look up to the next level.

La Femme 25783 will turn heads. It is crushed velvet which gives it a different take on the velvet trend. This fitted  high neck gown features a side leg slit and a racer open back.

How gorgeous is 8023 by Johnathan Kayne?! JK named her Boho Beyonce. The cold shoulder sleeve gown is constructed in burnout chiffon/velvet combination. The swarovski belt along with the fitted  trumpet skirt are simplistic compliments to this beautiful fabric.
